I know we are almost a week past Mother’s Day, but I want to share this with you. I received a gift from my boys (who for the first time have jobs). The gifts and cards were thoughtful and showed that they pay attention to me and what I like.
My daughter, at 7, does not have a job and therefore made me a gift. The gift was beautiful and I will wear it often. But what I want to share with you is the package that my daughter used to present my gift.
This is her. The blue eyes and red hair make that very clear. The important part here is the cape. You see, my daughter is a super hero. She knows who she is, she knows what she wants, and she knows she has a support system behind her to help her reach her goals.
I could not be more proud of her, or her brothers who will defend her without impunity.
Here’s to strong women. May we be them, may we raise them, may we love them.
